In the great ocean of Disney Vacation Club speculation, there’s one buoy that’s been bobbing up and down more than any other: the Polynesian Island Tower. For weeks, I’ve been waking up at the crack of dawn, eagerly refreshing my browser for any clues about points charts, pricing, or sales dates. It’s become such a routine that the DISboards community is considering sending me on a cruise, convinced that news only breaks when I’m sipping piña coladas on a ship. I’m a size 7-Night Mediterranean Cruise, in case anyone is serious about this plan and wants to join our DVC Fan Patreon Community to ship – I mean chip in!
Conjuring the Points Charts
We’ve been trying to summon the elusive points charts for the Island Tower, and it feels like we’re about to crack the mystery. The latest buzz suggests we might only have a week more to wait. Word on the street, or perhaps the dock, is that the charts will resemble those of Riviera and Disneyland Hotel. With any luck, it’ll all come together before my cruise — because deciphering DVC news via ship WiFi is a challenge I’d prefer to avoid.
Sales Dates: The Moving Target
The sales date for the Island Tower has been darting around like a seagull chasing a dropped churro. After much back-and-forth, it seems DVC is aiming to launch sales on October 1st. This aligns with the start of Disney’s 2025 Fiscal Year, which makes sense as 2024 might not have been the financial fairytale DVC hoped for. I previously anticipated an early release for member add-ons, but rumor has it that plan has been scuttled in favor of a grand launch October 1st.

Pricing: Less a Prediction at This Point
Rumors suggest that the Island Tower will start out at the same per-point price as Disneyland Hotel, at $239 — before incentives, of course. It’s a bit less than expected, but don’t hold your breath for major discounts. Like the Grand Floridian’s Big Pine Key expansion in 2022, incentives might be modest. So, if you’re dreaming of a Polynesian paradise, be prepared to pay close to full fare.
Booking Dates: Anchors Away for October 15th?
If history is our guide, Polynesian owners might drop anchor for bookings around October 15th, a couple of weeks after sales launch. As for everyone else, the booking window could open anywhere from one to two months later. This was the case with The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort earlier this year, and similar to the timelines we saw for Disneyland Hotel and Grand Floridian.
A Final Plea Before I Set Sail
While these predictions are based on a mix of whispers and well-informed guesses, only time will tell if they hold water. In the meantime, I’ll keep praying to the DVC gods to release the details soon – because, as much as I was joking above and absolutely driving you crazy with my portside puns, Amy and I do depart for Spain on September 19th for a Mediterranean Cruise. While I’d love to add to the list of places I’ve reported DVC news from, there’s only so much I can do from the deck of a cruise ship!
Stay tuned to DVCFan.com and the DVC Fan Facebook Group where we’ll keep you afloat with any breaking news. Until then, may your dreams be filled with Polynesian breezes and the sweet sound of a confirmed sales date (or for me – snoring Spanish Galgos who always find their way into our bed at night).
