Story Book Dining at Artist Point at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is a magical experience, especially for families who adore Snow White. From the moment you step inside, the cozy, woodland-inspired décor transports you to a forest retreat. Twinkling miniature trees, warm rustic touches, and fairy-tale details create an enchanting atmosphere that feels straight out of a storybook.
Meet Snow White and Friends
For our daughter, meeting Snow White is the highlight of every visit. She also adores Dopey, Grumpy, and even the Evil Queen. Grumpy’s comically exaggerated frowns always bring laughs, while Dopey’s playful antics keep everyone entertained. Every time we visit, our daughter loves joining in by making grumpy and silly faces right along with the characters.
The Evil Queen is a true standout moment. When our daughter was hesitant to meet her and I accidentally knocked off her crown, the Queen gently shooed me away and focused on helping my daughter put the crown back on. Even as a villain, she made her feel completely at ease. That thoughtful interaction made the experience truly memorable and perfectly showcased Disney magic.
The characters also perform “A Silly Song,” adding even more fun as guests clap, sing, and dance along.

Magical Merchandise and Autographs
For DVC fans, one of the perks we all love is a good discount! At the Wilderness Lodge Mercantile, you can use your DVC discount to purchase a hardcover Snow White coloring book with markers. As the characters visit your table, they can sign it for your child, creating a delightful keepsake and adding an interactive element that makes the dining experience even more memorable.

Delicious Food and Enchanting Details
While Artist Point may not be the most upscale dining menu on Disney property, it’s a solid choice compared to other character meals. The Royal Prime Rib Roast with horseradish mashed potatoes is a personal favorite, while my husband enjoys the Magic Mirror’s Slow-Braised Pork Shank.
In the past, kids could participate in a “make your own honey butter” starter, which was a fun, hands-on experience. Disney, please bring this back! They do still offer fun, non-alcoholic drinks for kids, though, and one standout is the “In the Clouds” drink. This whimsical treat comes with a cup of cotton candy that kids can pour their beverage over, watching the “clouds” magically disappear. It’s a delightful and interactive touch that adds a bit of magic to the meal.
Dessert adds a theatrical flourish as well. Receiving your chocolate heart in a smoking Huntsman’s box feels like stepping into a true storybook adventure.
Seasonal Magic
We love visiting this restaurant during Christmas, when the Wilderness Lodge is decked out in festive décor. The cozy forest setting combined with seasonal touches makes the experience even more magical.

Final Thoughts
Story Book Dining at Artist Point is a must for families who love Snow White and immersive Disney experiences. Between the playful character interactions and charming dances every moment feels special. Add hearty, flavorful meals and desserts that bring a bit of theater to the table, and it’s clear why this is one of the hardest reservations to snag. Whether visiting Copper Creek or Boulder Ridge during the holidays or any time of year, Artist Point offers a storybook experience that delights both kids and adults alike.
