Amy and I are new Orlando, Florida residents where we live with our dogs Odie the greyhound and Hermès the Spanish galgo. We are DVC owners at Animal Kingdom Lodge, BoardWalk Villas, Grand Californian, Grand Floridian, and Polynesian, Disney World Annual Passholders, and love educating Disney Vacation Club members on how to both use and maximize the value of their DVC points!
I loved Aulani! One thing that wasn’t mentioned about member activities on the show is the wonderful member only cultural tour of the resort. You learn so much about the culture of the islands and all the incredible details that are in everything at the resort. Everything means something, down to the railings on the balconies. Definitely a must do activity when you go.
I agree with Pete, this is the nicest place we have ever stayed!
Went last May for a week with my wife and twin 24 year old daughters. We used our points on a 2 bedroom oceanview. Blew two years of points but it was well worth it.
I don’t know how, but they gave us the top floor and as far down the end as possible. It had to be one of the best rooms on property.
We arrived a little later in the day, 6 PM their time. A person greeted us at the entrance, we never went to the front desk. He walked us around the lobby area, pointed out where things were and handed us our room cards. It was the best check-in ever!
Our biggest regret is we went to the luau next door instead of doing the Aulani one.
Quick service food was really good. They had a prepared entree item every day for dinner. They were really good and not too expensive! The shave ice with the sweetened evaporated milk over the top was the best shave ice we had on the island.
There is a shopping complex across the street, there are restaurants, shopping and a market there.
If you are DVC, do the culture tour, it’s free!
Nighttime fire stories are great.
They even have sunrise yoga on the beach!
Save your points, borrow, beg a friend for points, just do it. This place is incredible! Can’t wait to go back.
Dont miss the North Shore! Rent a car and go up there!
