2020 DVC Member Cruise to Alaska Rescheduled for August 2022

In response to the Canadian government’s decision not to allow cruise ships to dock through October 31st, 2020, Disney Vacation Club has canceled its 2020 DVC Member Cruise to Alaska and rescheduled this sailing for August 2022. This rescheduled sailing on the Disney Wonder will depart from Vancouver, B.C., and run from August 29th to September 5th, 2022.

Guests previously scheduled for the 2020 Alaska Member Cruise will be automatically rebooked for this new 2022 sailing at no additional charge. Those unable to attend this new sailing can also request a full refund of cash or reservation points by calling Member Services at (800) 800-9800 before August 5th. Points subject to expiration as a result of this cancellation will be extended for one additional Use Year.  Members with additional questions can visit the cancellation FAQ page on the Disney Vacation Club website.

No information was given at this time regarding booking opportunities for those interested in the new 2022 DVC Member Cruise to Alaska who were not previously booked on the 2020 sailing.

In their release, Disney Vacation Club also confirmed that reservations for the previously announced 2021 Western Caribbean Member Cruise would begin on August 8th, 2020.  This booking process was previously postponed earlier in April. Guests interested in booking this 2021 sailing on the Disney Fantasy from June 12th through June 17th, 2021, can call Member Services beginning that morning.

Please note, DVC Member Cruises are considered a Disney Vacation Club –Membership Extra and can only be booked by direct members with a valid blue membership card.

I hope they open this up to new reservations. As a teacher, it seems none of the member events line up with my schedule but this one would. *fingers crossed*
