A question posted earlier today on the DVC Fan Facebook Group prompted us to give Member Services a call and see whether Disney Vacation Club Members could renew their Annual Passes yet. As it turns out, the answer is yes… Sort of…

Member Services is currently allowing renewals for Walt Disney World Annual Passes under certain conditions.

If you have a Disney Vacation Club trip booked after your Annual Pass is set to expire, they will allow you to renew this pass.

Since we fell into this category we went through the entire process and now show our renewals in our My Disney Experience Account!

Pricing for a DVC Gold Pass renewal remains at the last known rate of $650.71 per person (tax included).

Typically, annual passes can only be renewed up to 60 days before expiration or as much as 30 days after expiration.

Please note that this policy only applies to Annual Pass renewals. Those looking to purchase new Annual Passes are still being told that sales have been suspended for the time being.

If interested in looking into a renewal, call Member Services at 800-800-9800!

This is great news for members, and we hope it is the consistent answer many of you get if calling to renew. It will help some members and families better plan ahead with future trips, tickets, and, most importantly, Park Pass Reservations, which will continue to be required throughout 2021.

Let us know in the comments if you decide to try to renew and whether you get a similar result!

  • What if my AP expired in 2019? That wouldn’t be included I guess.

    • Don’t believe so, unfortunately.

  • I was able to renew my annual passes that were to expire November 21 but were then extended by Disney to December 22nd of this year. I have a DVC reservation for Christmas week and wanted to renew our passes so I called hoping to renew and upgrade to platinum from gold so that our passes would be valid that week. I had purchased 7 day tickets fearing that pass renewals wouldn’t be allowed. After several hours on the phone and being placed on hold many times, I was able to upgrade, renew and get a refund for the 7 day tickets! They also made my pass expiration December 31st of 2021! Thanks Disney! The renewal rate was $1080 per pass for platinum. Is that the going renewal rate or was I charged the new pass price? That I’m not clear on however…

    • That’s sounds like the going renewal rate I believe after tax.

  • So my annual passes expired in April and we are DVC members staying 10/31-11/7. Do you think we would fall under this policy to be able to renew?

    • Since it already expired I’m unsure how they would handle that but it would be worth a call to find out!

  • We have had annual passes for three years. AP lapsed January 18, 2020. Called yesterday to buy an annual pass for our three trips scheduled in 2021. Answer was, “No deal”.

    • Sounds like if they already expired they will not allow for a renewal.
