Amy and I are new Orlando, Florida residents where we live with our dogs Odie the greyhound and Hermès the Spanish galgo. We are DVC owners at Animal Kingdom Lodge, BoardWalk Villas, Grand Californian, Grand Floridian, and Polynesian, Disney World Annual Passholders, and love educating Disney Vacation Club members on how to both use and maximize the value of their DVC points!

  • Hahaha, Pete nailed it with Starbucks. Their coffee is just bad. People like it because they put candy into it, but for a cup of coffee it is the worst. Joffrey’s is much better.

  • Great website folks! Keep up the FANTASTIC job you do!!

  • We had excellent meals at the Riviera restaurant. The grilled ham and cheese, the pizza excellent!

  • I find myself in strong agreement with Corey’s picks though I have not eaten at Turf Club (and now have no reason to). At Ohana’s, we found service rushed AND the food overcooked for the price we weren’t paying (we had room issues and Disney bought us dinner — another overpriced meal I avoided paying for). We had a tradition of breakfast at Ohana’s on departure day but that was mainly for the characters and Mickey waffles.

Yes, Contempo Cafe is the Cosmic Rays of the Contemporary Resort, but I like Cosmic Rays. That said, Contempo Cafe is not a food destination. You go there when you can’t go anywhere else.

I have insufficient experience with Olivia’s for it to be on my worst list. The prices were not high enough to trigger a disappointment response.

  • Interesting, lot of dvc members vouch for Olivia’s and its fried chicken. Guess need to try it out and confirm whether the Facebook fans or Pete get it right on this one.
