- Thursday, June 16, 2022 – Arrive at Disney Castaway Cay, Bahamas
- Friday, June 17, 2022 – Debark at Port Canaveral, Florida
Best of all, Disney Vacation Club Members will be some of the very first to explore all of the exciting new features that the Disney Wish has to offer!
Point charts for this sailing will be released on May 13th with cash pricing releasing on May 17th.
Probably the newest and most important piece of information shared is that at least one guest will be required to book with Disney Vacation Club points to book this cruise. According to the DVC website: “Because this is a Disney Collection Exchange opportunity, at least one person in each stateroom must be booked on points. In addition, one person in the party must use Vacation Points when this cruise is booked. Other Guests can make cash payments.”
It’s important to note that the only points eligible to book a cruise are direct points and resale points that were grandfathered in (back when resale members received blue cards). Unfortunately, this requirement will prohibit many Disney Vacation Club members from being able to book this sailing.

To book this exclusive sailing, Disney Vacation Club Members will need to call Member Services at 800-800-9800 or 407-566-3800 beginning Monday – May 17th, 2021 at 8:00 am, EST.
It is important to note that the Member Services phone line on Monday – May 17th will be exclusively dedicated to Member Cruise bookings from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, EST. Disney Vacation Club has advised members that they may experience longer than usual wait times. The online booking tool will still be available to those looking to book or modify resort reservations on Monday. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday – May 18th.
Member Services Cast Members will again utilize an expedited booking procedure to secure your reservation on your initial call without further information. Then, within 72-hours, you will receive a follow-up call to finalize your payment method and fully guarantee the booking.
A non-refundable $95 transaction fee applies per confirmed Disney Collection reservation for guests choosing to use points when booking.
Members are asked to have the following information ready and available when calling to book:
- Member ID Number
- First, second and third stateroom category choices—popular options sell out quickly for this event
- Special dietary needs
- Special medical needs
- Castaway Club Number (provided to repeat cruisers by Disney Cruise Line)
For each person sailing on the Member Cruise, please have the following information ready:
- Legal name and middle initial, spelled as it appears in print on appropriate citizenship documentation
- Physical home address (no P.O boxes)
- Home telephone number
- Date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy)
- Citizenship/nationality
Please note, DVC Member Cruises are considered a Disney Vacation Club –Membership Extra and can only be booked by direct members with a valid blue membership card.
Stay tuned to DVC Fan, the DVC Fan Facebook Group, and The DIS for more information as it becomes available!

Wow! DVC may have figured out a way to encourage both direct purchase AND sub-optimal redemption of vacation points. The question will be do you have to use points for the 1st guest (the most expensive) or can you pay cash for all guests except the last guest in your party (the least expensive) which is paid in points. What about borrowing?
I am a blue card carrying member with some direct points but I balk at spending ANY points at such a poor exchange rate. That said, a Member Cruise on the Wish has got me at least thinking about it.
Add this to the list of unpopular DVC policies.
You just asked the exact same questions that I have. The dates, in particular, are so perfect for us. Normally I would immediately pass on having to use points on a cruise, but DANG. The sail date is our anniversary!

Wow – so if you have a critical DVC issue on the 17th of May – and many of those issues ALSO require calling because the DVC website is stuck in the 1990’s – I guess you’re just toast?
And more importantly… you have to CALL to make a reservation? Hello – Disney/DVC – there’s this thing called a computer and you can communicate with other computers over something called the internet!
The more I learn about DVC, the more I’m convinced this organization is completely inept – and it’s sad there’s nothing in the DVC by-laws that would allow the membership to forcibly remove these clowns.
This may be one way DVC will be able to force the use of all of the excess points created by the pandemic.
Also noticed that for all Disney Wish sailings it is phone calls only (or travel agents). Almost looks like Disney is saying that their IT systems will not be able to handle the volume without some serious problems.
The wait times can’t get much worse than they were about a month ago when you couldn’t get past the first gate when it rang busy. This lack of customer service hasn’t made me mad enough to sell my points, but it has forced to reevaluate if I really want to purchase more (direct or resale).
Agree the management of DVC needs to be placed on the employment lines. Too bad Disney management doesn’t care any longer.
Where did you hear this about the Wish? It isn’t true.
For the first 3 days of early access, platinum Castaway Club members with over a certain number of cruises will have to call in to book, but after those exclusive early access days people will be able to book the Wish online just like any other cruise. Details are here: https://disneycruiselineblog.com/2021/04/disney-cruise-line-announces-inaugural-disney-wish-itineraries-june-september/
From the DVC Member website. https://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/destinations/list/cruise/dvc-charter/.
Not sure if you need to be a member to access the page or not.
Member only cruises cannot be booked through Disney Cruise Lines, only through DVC Member Services. Basically DVC charters the boat from Cruise lines.
Hope this helps,
John
