Outside the Parks: Sangria University at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

If you’re seeking a delightful escape outside the park, look no further than Sangria University at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. This engaging experience, available on weekends, offers a mix of fun and education in a picturesque setting. We recently tried Sangria University as part of our 11- year wedding anniversary celebrations and are excited to share the experience with you.

Experience Details

Sangria University spans approximately 90 minutes of interactive sessions filled with flavors and stories. The timings and prices vary seasonally, typically ranging from $69 to $79 per person, with advance payment required upon booking. Participants must be 21 or older, though underage guests can join accompanied by an of age adult. Those underage will be provided a non-alcoholic flight that mimics the sangria flavor. The costs for the non-alcoholic flight is the same.

Venue and Setting

Located at the charming Three Bridges Bar & Grill, nestled in the heart of Lago Dorado, Sangria University provides a scenic backdrop for your tasting journey. The tranquil lake adds to the ambiance, creating a serene environment for a memorable experience.

Tasting Journey

Upon arrival, each guest is greeted with a plate of house-made guacamole and chips, bottled water, and a flight of four house-made sangrias. Explore a range of flavors with the Espumoso (sparking), Rosado (rose), Blanco (white), and Tinto (red) Sangrias, each offering a unique taste to savor.

Guided Exploration

Meet the Sangria Sommelier, like the entertaining Grey, who guides you through the tasting adventure. Learn about the ingredients, history, and origins of each sangria, immersing yourself in a world of flavors and stories. Class participation adds an interactive element to the session, making learning fun and engaging.

Hands-On Experience

Put your creativity to the test by creating your custom sangria from a selection of options. Additional premium choices are available for those looking to elevate their experience. The abundance of sangria ensures a lively and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the session, complemented by the flavorful guacamole snack.

Conclusion and Recommendations

At the end of Sangria University, participants receive a certificate of class completion and the recipes for the sampled sangrias, adding a personal touch to the experience. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a day out, this event is perfect for couples, friends, and sangria enthusiasts alike.

While I do recommend scheduling the experience during cooler months for maximum enjoyment as the venue is outdoors, Sangria University at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort promises a fun, educational, and flavorful experience that stands out from traditional park activities. From the engaging class to the vibrant atmosphere, this event captures the essence of relaxation and indulgence.
