Is Tony’s Town Square Worth a Sit-Down Meal in Magic Kingdom?

Tony's Town Square Restaurant

Magic Kingdom isn’t always known for standout table-service meals, but Tony’s Town Square Restaurant continues to draw guests with its Lady and the Tramp–themed atmosphere and classic Italian menu. Located near the entrance to the park on Main Street, U.S.A., Tony’s offers a convenient escape from the crowds for those seeking a leisurely lunch or dinner.

But is it more than just a cute setting? We recently visited Tony’s and have a full breakdown of what to expect.

What’s the Atmosphere Like at Tony’s Town Square?

Tony’s exudes old-school charm, styled like a vintage Italian trattoria with rich wood finishes, tiled floors, and cozy booths. The Lady and the Tramp theming is subtle but sweet, offering just enough Disney magic without being over the top.

We especially appreciated the coat racks built into the booths, which offered a practical solution for storing bags and gear. That said, the booths themselves are a bit snug, especially if you’re traveling with a larger group.

There’s also a charming outdoor patio that Derek from our team absolutely loves. On cooler days, it’s a great place to dine while people-watching on Main Street. During our visit, however, the sun was beating down on it a little too harshly, so we opted to dine indoors.

What’s on the Menu at Tony’s Town Square?

Tony’s serves classic Italian-American fare with appetizers and entrées designed for sharing. Here’s what we tried during our visit:

Tony’s Garlic Bread for the Table – $14

Toasted ciabatta slathered in roasted garlic butter and topped with parmesan fonduta. Rich and flavorful, this dish delivers on both quantity and taste. A solid starter, but definitely on the heavy side.

Fried Mozzarella – $16

Thick, golden-brown mozzarella sticks served with a creamy, spicy tomato sauce. This was one of the standout dishes of the night. Generously portioned and packed with flavor, they’re perfect for sharing and one of the top reasons to book a table here.

Caesar Salad- $12

This was a pretty basic salad, but plenty to share. The focaccia croutons were a nice touch to zest it up a little.

Fettuccine Alfredo – $26 (Chicken +$6, Shrimp +$8)

Two in our party ordered the chicken version, and it was unfortunately the least loved entrée. Mandy compared the sauce to a jarred version, and the presentation left something to be desired. We’d recommend skipping this one.

Braised Beef Giardiniera – $35

Tender beef served with crispy potatoes, arugula, and giardiniera relish. Paul tried this dish and gave it high marks, describing it as a comforting, well-seasoned option that reminded him of an Italian beef sandwich. His only wish? A sandwich version on the menu.

Oven-Roasted Shrimp Scampi – $37

The priciest entrée, but also one of the most satisfying. Served with spaghetti, roasted garlic butter, lemon, and white wine, this dish was surprisingly generous with shrimp. The lemon wasn’t overpowering, and while rich, it stayed true to what a good scampi should be.

Is Tony’s Town Square Worth the Price?

Pricing at Tony’s is consistent with other Magic Kingdom table-service locations, though the value varies by dish. Appetizers are generously portioned and worth sharing, especially the mozzarella. Entrées, however, range in quality. The Alfredo was underwhelming for the cost, while the beef and shrimp options felt more in line with expectations.

If you’re using the Disney Dining Plan or applying DVC or Annual Pass discounts, the value improves a bit.

Hidden Gem or Just a Convenient Option?

Tony’s Town Square may not be the best Italian food on property, but it holds its own as a charming, reliable Magic Kingdom dining spot—especially when you choose the right dishes. The atmosphere adds nostalgic value, the service is pleasant, and a few menu items truly shine.

If you’re looking for an indoor table-service break or a unique outdoor patio experience, Tony’s is worth considering. Just steer clear of the Alfredo and lean into the house specialties like the fried mozzarella, braised beef, and shrimp scampi.
