City of Anaheim Planning Commission Approves Final Site Plan for Disneyland Hotel DVC Tower

In a regularly scheduled meeting of the City of Anaheim Planning Commission on Monday, July 20th, commissioners approved the conditional use permit, final site plan, and tentative parcel map for the proposed Disneyland Hotel Disney Vacation Club Tower.

In a massive release of information uploaded to the cities website on Friday, we received many new details and specifics about what we can expect from this new DVC Property.

During a question and answer portion of the meeting, commissioners asked very few questions and seemed generally pleased with the detailed presentation provided by Disney and the large amount of attention to detail given to the overall design of the tower and its visual and environmental effect on the surrounding neighbors and neighborhoods.

In the town hall meetings leading up to this point in the planning and approval process, residents appeared to be generally pleased with the proposed construction of the Disneyland Hotel DVC Tower and how it would impact their homes.

Joe Haupt with Spectrum Development represented Disney during the meeting and was on hand to answer any questions asked by the planning commission.

In the voting on the matter, the commission voted 7-0 in approval. This recommendation will now be sent to the City Council for further consideration.

All signs indicate that the Disneyland Hotel DVC Tower is continuing to progress forward at full steam despite current park and resort closures. While no construction has begun yet on the structure, it was originally hoped that the new DVC property would be completed by 2023.
