Disney Vacation Club Members looking for a festive way to kick off Independence Day weekend have a new event to add to their summer plans. Disney Vacation Club has announced Stars, Stripes, and Summer Eats, a special member-exclusive celebration taking place at the Disneyland Hotel on July 2, 2026.

As Disney continues its celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, this limited-time event combines classic summer barbecue favorites, character interactions, and family-friendly entertainment in a relaxed outdoor setting.

Celebrate America – Disney Style

Taking place on the Adventure Lawn at the Disneyland Hotel, Stars, Stripes, and Summer Eats invites eligible Disney Vacation Club Members to dress in their favorite red, white, and blue attire and enjoy an afternoon of food, fun, and Disney magic.

The event begins with check-in at 10:45 a.m., followed by a Character Meet & Greet experience at 11:00 a.m. Lunch service starts at 11:30 a.m., with festivities continuing through 1:00 p.m.

In addition to character appearances, attendees can enjoy:

  • Glitter temporary tattoos
