In what we hope is the last in our series of articles surrounding Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House, or as we’ve named it, #JAMBOGATE – Disney has announced the reopening dates for Select Non-DVC Walt Disney World Resorts.
According to this announcement, Jambo House will reopen on July 10th, 2020, as part of Walt Disney World’s phased reopening. This concludes (hopefully) three long weeks of speculation surrounding plans for the resort.
Also important to note as part of this announcement are the planned reopening dates of the hotel side of many of the mixed-use Disney Vacation Club Properties.
- July 10th – Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House, Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- August 12th – Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
- August 24th – Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts
- September 21st – Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- October 1st – Disney’s BoardWalk Resort
DVC Members with affected reservations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House, prior to July 10th, are encouraged to contact Member Services at (800) 800-9800 if they have questions about their upcoming travel plans.
All Disney Vacation Club Resorts at Walt Disney World will reopen on Monday, June 22nd. With the resort side of these properties closed, guests may be in for a treat with lower crowds at the resort pools and recreational areas. This news, however, also likely confirms the closure of Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts until at least August 24th.
