FIRST LOOK: New Concept Art for Disneyland Hotel DVC Tower Revealed

Disneyland DVC Tower

As part of today’s Destination D23 Parks & Resorts presentation, Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, shared some new concept art for the upcoming Disneyland Hotel DVC Tower!

Walt Disney’s personal sketching style was studied and incorporated into the design, decor, and artwork throughout the resort’s interiors.

Additional inspiration from the beloved Disney animated classic Sleeping Beauty was also used throughout the resort. This includes a color palette from the original film that surrounds you throughout the space.

Every part of the room is part of an immersive story being told throughout the new resort, which is slated to open in 2023.

Construction has already started on this previously announced 350-room Disney Vacation Club tower proposed for the Disneyland Hotel. Earlier this week, Jeff Haslam from our DVC Fan Facebook Community visited Disneyland and shared some photos of the resort’s ongoing construction.

As we reported previously, this 12-story tower is expected to include a variety of room accommodations, including smaller two-person studio villas, similar to the Tower Studio properties that are featured at Disney’s Riviera Resort. Proposed plans suggest that the resort will feature 271 Deluxe Studios, 38 smaller ‘Tower Studio’ style rooms, 19 One-Bedroom Villas, 20 Two-Bedroom Villas, and 2 Grand Villas.

Let us know in the comments what you think of these new images and insight into the Disneyland DVC Tower and whether you’ve started saving for when this resort becomes available!

I”m not really seeing “Walt Disney’s personal sketching style” in the design, but these rooms look beautiful.

Meh. Not impressed so far. Color scheme is kind of dated, to me. Glad they’re continuing with the Murphy beds. Not a fan of all the gold tones in the couch and walls. The Sleeping Beauty backdrop behind the headboard is nice.

No twin under the TV. That stinks for families with 5. That makes me out.

My absolute favorite Disney movie! The music of Tchaikovsky, the bold, dramatic colors of Mary Blair, and the pointed and gothic style of animation in this picture were what made me first fall in love with Disney so many years ago, and SB still captures my heart today.
I never go to Disneyland, as I live on the East Coast, but I find myself all of a sudden figuring out how many points I can afford and how often I could get out to California.
    Sigh…
My only reservation – and I understand this is inly concept art – but I hope the studios do have kitchenettes. If not, that would cure the add-on-itis for me.
    It’s stunning, though, truly.

My exact thoughts on the kitchenette. I hope it’s not a Resort Studio like they are putting in the Grand Floridisn DVC expansion, which still boggles my mind.

Still no new restaurants announced. This is going to be a huge problem with 350 new rooms coming.

Restaurants probably will be inside the Hotel.
      New hotel without restaurants? Never!
