Disney’s Vero Beach Resort Feature Pool to Close for Refurbishment in 2028

Guests planning a stay at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort in early 2028 should be aware of an upcoming refurbishment that will temporarily impact some of the resort’s most popular amenities.

The resort’s Feature Pool will be closed for routine maintenance beginning January 10, 2028, through April 2028. During the refurbishment, the Tiger Lily Water Play Area and Port Holes Miniature Golf will also be unavailable. Guests may see or hear construction in the area while the work is underway.

While the pool is certainly an important part of the Vero Beach experience, I actually think Disney has chosen a pretty ideal time of year to tackle this work. January through April can be a little too chilly for many people to comfortably enjoy a pool anyway, especially compared to the warmer months.

That said, the closure is still something to keep in mind when planning a Vero Beach vacation. With the pool, water play area, and miniature golf unavailable, it could significantly change the amount of recreation available at the resort. If you’re considering a stay during these months, it’s worth weighing whether Vero Beach is still the right choice for your trip.

Disney’s Vero Beach Resort is located along Florida’s Atlantic Treasure Coast, about two hours southeast of Walt Disney World, and is a favorite getaway for many Disney Vacation Club members.
