DVC Cancels Animal Kingdom Moonlight Magic

Animal Kingdom Moonlight Magic

Amid the ongoing closures of Walt Disney World due to Hurricane Ian, Disney Vacation Club announced today that the scheduled Moonlight Magic event for Wednesday – September 27th, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has been canceled.

In a message posted on the DVC website, Disney Vacation Club stated:

“Given the latest projections, Walt Disney World theme parks and water parks will be closed on Wednesday, September 28 and Thursday, September 29. As a result, the Moonlight Magic event at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park scheduled for September 28, 2022 will also be canceled. Please continue to check back for the most up-to-date information about temporary closures and impacts.”

No notice of whether the event may be rescheduled at a later date was announced at this time.

Wednesday’s Animal Kingdom event was the final Moonlight Magic on the schedule for 2022. We hope to learn more about future events planned for 2023 in the coming months.
