Disney Springs finally has something new to fill the long-vacant space that once housed DisneyQuest and, later, the NBA Experience. Level99 has officially arrived at Walt Disney World, bringing an interactive gaming experience unlike anything else currently offered on property.
Jeff and Amy headed to Disney Springs for one of their Disney Date Night outings to see if Level99 lives up to the hype. Going in, they intentionally knew very little about the experience, buying tickets “sight unseen” to experience it the way most guests probably will.
So, is it worth adding to your next Disney vacation?
What Exactly Is Level99?
If you’ve never heard of Level99, you’re not alone.
Jeff and Amy admitted they weren’t entirely sure what to expect before arriving, but quickly discovered that it isn’t an escape room, arcade, or virtual reality attraction. Instead, it’s a collection of dozens of interactive challenge rooms where teams compete in fast-paced physical games, mental puzzles, memory challenges, and cooperative experiences.
Each challenge lasts only a few minutes before you’re off to the next room, keeping the experience moving at a fast pace.
One room might test your reaction time, while the next requires communication or puzzle solving. That’s part of what makes Level99 feel fresh throughout your visit.
There’s Definitely a Learning Curve
One of Jeff and Amy’s biggest observations was that the first visit can feel a little confusing.
Many of the rooms intentionally drop you into the challenge without much explanation, leaving you to figure out the mechanics on your own. Sometimes that discovery is part of the fun, but it also means you may not perform your best the first time around.
In fact, after replaying a few challenges, both agreed they immediately understood the games better and wished they could try them again with their newfound knowledge.
That learning curve ended up becoming one of the experience’s biggest strengths.
Think of It Like Real-Life Mario Party
Jeff summed up Level99 with perhaps the best comparison of the entire episode.
“It’s like real-life Mario Party.”
That description fits surprisingly well. Rather than focusing on one large attraction, Level99 offers dozens of bite-sized mini-games that test different skills. Some require teamwork, others emphasize balance or speed, while a few feel almost like condensed escape rooms.
Because every room is different, no two challenges feel exactly alike, making it easy to stay engaged throughout your visit.
Is an Hour and a Half Enough?
Jeff and Amy booked the standard 90-minute session.
While that sounds like plenty of time, they quickly realized it goes by much faster than expected, especially on a busy weekend.
Between waiting in lines for popular games and moving between challenge rooms, they were surprised to discover they’d completed only about 8% of the entire venue by the end of their session.
Fortunately, Level99 saves your progress through your account and wristband, allowing you to continue where you left off during future visits.
That persistence system makes repeat visits feel rewarding rather than repetitive.
Better With Friends?
Although Jeff and Amy enjoyed their date night, they both felt Level99 would be even more entertaining with a larger group.
Most of the challenge rooms accommodate up to six players, and having more people means different personalities and skill sets can shine.
Couples can absolutely have fun, but if you’re traveling with another family or a group of Disney friends, Level99 could become one of the highlights of your Disney Springs evening.
Food, Drinks, and Built-In Breaks
One feature they appreciated was the flexibility.
Level99 includes a restaurant and bar, and guests receive up to 30 minutes of pause time during their play session. That means you can stop for drinks, grab something to eat, or simply take a breather without your game clock continuing to run.
It makes the experience much easier to combine with dinner or an evening exploring Disney Springs.
Is Level99 Worth the Price?
This was Jeff’s biggest hesitation.
At roughly $40 for a 90-minute session, he felt the experience was a little expensive, particularly on a crowded weekend when wait times reduced the number of games they could play.
However, both agreed they’d happily return, especially during a less busy weekday when they’d have more opportunities to experience additional challenges.
Jeff ultimately gave Level99 a 7 out of 10, noting that while it’s fun and genuinely unique, crowd levels play a significant role in determining the overall value.

If you enjoy escape rooms, board games, puzzles, or a little friendly competition, Jeff and Amy found plenty to like. Just be prepared for a learning curve, expect some waiting if you visit during peak times, and consider making it part of a larger Disney Springs date night.
