Disney Invites You To Share Your DVC Story

Share Your Disney Vacation Club Story

As part of Disney Vacation Club’s next promotional video to celebrate its 30th anniversary, DVC is looking for members willing to share their vacation stories with the world!

In an email sent to members, Disney Vacation Club announced that they are searching for families interested in being featured on camera while sharing their membership story. They are specifically interested in two specific types of families:

Original Members of Disney’s Old Key West Resort are invited to apply and share how Disney Vacation Club has allowed their families to celebrate and make magical memories over the past thirty years.

New Members are also encouraged to apply and share what made them consider and eventually choose to purchase a Disney Vacation Club Membership.

Members interested in sharing their stories are asked to complete a small survey that asks for contact information, a family photo, and a few questions about your Disney Vacation Club Membership. A cast member will be in contact with those selected to share their DVC memories on camera. Filming is planned for May 2021.

Let us know in the comments if you plan to apply and share your DVC story on camera!

Paul lives in Orlando, Florida with his wife, Amy, and their three Spanish galgos, Hermès, Cinders, and Emerson. They’re Disney Vacation Club Members at five resorts, Disney World Annual Passholders, and always on the lookout for new ways to enjoy and maximize their DVC points. When he’s not at the parks or planning their next trip, Paul loves cooking (big Alton Brown fan), training for Disney races with Amy, and blasting Billy Joel in the background.

I guess they’re not interested in the story where they sell us on the benefits of becoming a blue card member then proceed to yank most of those benefits away – including the ability to purchase annual passes and receive the commensurate DVC discount on them?

Or maybe the joy almost all DVC members experience daily when they have to call MS and wait hours and hours on hold (if they can even get through) to do some simple transaction like banking, borrowing, or ticket purchase that could easily be done with an up-to-date app or modern website?

Or heck, what about the story that saw nice across-the-board DVC dues and points increases this year despite the fact that much was closed in 2020 and many members still can’t utilize their points due to demand or travel restrictions?

These are the REAL stories of the modern DVC.
