Starting next spring, some Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will receive a refurbishment. It’s important to note that this small tidbit of news has only been located on Disney World’s site on the Copper Creek page.
The absence of this news from the Disney Vacation Club website leads us to believe this isn’t meant to affect DVC members. However, with only 26 cabins in total, I find that hard to believe. In checking the availability of April 21st, the proposed start date of the refurbishment, cabins are widely available for point bookings.
It’s also worth noting this is not part of the Disney Vacation Club refurbishment schedule, as seen below from the 2022 Condo Association Meeting. With DVC refurbishments, we never get such specific dates (especially down to the very day). It is also listed on Disney’s website as “select” cabins. This could be a refurbishment of the cabins being used for cash inventory or even a test for a future refurbishment.
Regardless, this is something that affects any members staying at Wilderness Lodge as it’s likely you will hear the work, especially if you are in a cabin near where the refurbishment is taking place.
