Think we have the opposite problem at WDW. Over the many trips we’ve taken things have happened that definitely should’ve been brought GS’s attention, but being on limited time we don’t want to further interrupt the fun relaxed mood to rehash the bad experience. Maybe we should be offering more feedback?

This is very offensive… my name is Karen and I have Never acted like the stereo type that is portrayed. It is disappointing that Disney would propetuate such a shameful, racist insulting term.
      I expect better of Disney.

This is not Disney talking….it’s the DVC Show.

Oh the irony! Perhaps that was your intent, perhaps not. Either way it was delightful!

I love you guys, you tell it like it is. I’ve been a dvc member since 2005.Before that stayed at most of the properties on sight from low priced to high priced.Im from NJ and we always get a bad rap.I go to Disney twice a year and always take into consideration that all these cast members from service to food to rides see millions of people in a week so bad days happen, move on. While I have had stories of cast members going above and beyond that would make cry. Twice I had problems both at Polynesian restaurants so be it move on. Believe it or not 2 times. I just think of all the good things that happened to my family it just really out ways the bad.Ill tell you the one time that I will never forget when a house keeper stayed later to make sure we got into our rooms at 445 because they were waiting for a coffee maker. We gave her 50 dollars for what she did and made sure mgmt new. The following day we came back from the park and found all these stuffed Mickey and Minnie dolls for the kids. Really I see her all the time at the Saratoga . From that how can you be mad at anyone that works at Disney. Sincerely the Kocak families.

We have been DVC members since 1997, we have seen “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” sides from managers, food servers to housekeeping. However your comment regarding your resort reservation is that the only “right” is a clean room. Well, we figured out awhile back the reason DVC properties are called resorts is that besides expecting just a clean room (you should receive the type of room you have booked on paid points), there are the pools with accompanying lounge chairs, life guards during high traffic, towels, advertised specialties of each individual DVC property (walking trails, geyser, electric light parade at Wilderness Lodge for example, Disney themed boat rides to various parks, hotels, floor to ceiling fireplaces, security, etc).
Plus the advertised monorail system and regular bus routes for guests to travel throughout DVC properties.
My expectation for each property we pay a hefty monthly maintenance fee, is that these properties will be well maintained.
Regarding your suggestion if your triple priced cheeseburger meal doesn’t come out correctly, “don’t blame the server”, the acronym T.I.P.S stands for to insure proper service, so yes I do think your server should check to make sure your order is correct before serving it to you.
But now WDW has tacked mandatory tips for servers and we have noticed a steep decline in the Disney Magic experience from cheap to expensive restaurants.
After watching your video, it appears your attitude is that DVC is doing you a favor for letting you stay on property and you should take whatever type of attitude from Disney employees is given back to you.
As mentioned earlier, we have experienced everyone from managers to housekeeping that will do everything in their power to make sure you have a magical stay, this is Disney right? We have also encountered rude, insulting cast members who have lied, tried to dissemble my mobility scooter(I am legitimately disabled) because it was blocking the view at the outdoor cantina in Epcot, insulted my 9 year old daughter on her birthday at the Hoop Dee Doo restaurant to the point she ran out of the place sobbing in tears (she still won’t go back over 20 years later), and the list could go on.
Ultimately there is no denying the magic (and just the sheer joy of feeling like a kid again) that only WDW and their mostly wonderful cast members can provide.
After all, it has taken us to places we could have only dreamed about for over 23 years, hopefully here’s to another exciting 23 years, thanks to Walt Disney and his determination to build better dreams for all kids, big and small, young or old.
      Carol

One of the worse things you can say to a CM (on land or at sea, I’ve seen it both places) while melting down is “I read on [insert forum here – though it’s often DIS Boards] that when this happened before, the person got XYZ.” That is never going to help your case.
