If you’ve been waiting to purchase some direct Disney Vacation Club points, its about to get more expensive! We are now only a few days away from an upcoming direct price increase for Disney’s Riviera Resort and Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas.
Effective Saturday, February 6th, 2021, direct prices will increase to the following per point levels:
|Resort||Current Direct Price||As of February 6th||Increase|
|Disney’s Riviera Resort||$195||$201||+ $6|
|Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas||$193||$201||+ $8|
These price increases reflect what has become a standard increase for current properties being sold by Disney around the first of the year. The last current selling resort direct price increase occurred back in January 2020.
This price increase is extremely interesting for Aulani, which continues to see sales struggle as the resort enters its tenth year. 2021 also represents the resort’s twelfth year of sales, which began in Summer 2010.
Last year, Disney Vacation Club chose two prices for their properties currently being sold, with Aulani being priced two dollars per point lower than Riviera. They appear to have forgone that approach with this year’s increase.
Aulani’s struggles to sell can also be seen on the resale market, where current resale contracts listed for Aulani are being sold for as low as $97 per point. That is approximately $8 lower per point than the average seen just a year ago.
