If you’ve been waiting to purchase some direct Disney Vacation Club points, it is about to get more expensive! Disney Vacation Club announced today that we will soon be seeing a direct price increase for Disney’s Riviera Resort and Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas.
Effective Thursday, February 3rd, 2022, direct prices will increase to the following per point levels:

These price increases reflect what has become a standard increase for current properties being sold by Disney around the first of the year. The last current selling resort direct price increase occurred almost exactly a year ago on February 6th, 2021. Prior to that, prices for Aulani and Riviera increased in January 2022.
Over the past two years, direct sales prices for these two resorts have increased by approximately $15. Here’s a look at where we’ve been and where we’re headed:

With direct pricing continuing to rise, the value of purchasing a Disney Vacation Club contract via the resale market continues to become more and more appealing. Prior to this price increase, members choosing to purchase resale vs. direct could save 29% on average based on data from November 2021 provided by our friends at DVC Resale Market:
