UPDATE 8/9/23 7:00am – Most password protected areas of the website have been restored and members can currently book DVC reservations online. No noticeable changes are apparent to the websites functionality.
If you’ve been trying to access the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) website over the past couple of hours, you’ve probably been greeted with a very cheerful Olaf tossing his head in the air. This is because the DVC website is currently undergoing scheduled maintenance, beginning August 8th and expected to last through August 10th.
During this time, certain areas of the site, including the Member Dashboard and any password-protected sections, will be unavailable. This means that members will be unable to access their account information or make changes to their memberships until the maintenance period is over.
It is unknown at this time whether the ability to make online reservations and search DVC availability on the website will be down throughout this entire outage period or is only temporarily unavailable.

Additionally, this outage is affecting Disney’s ability to process contract payoffs and transfers of ownership. So if you’re in the middle of buying or selling a DVC membership, you may experience some small delays in the completion of your transaction.
While the exact details have not been disclosed, it is understood that this maintenance period is being used to implement a new technology system.
As for what changes we can expect to see after August 10, that remains a mystery. Previous updates have not typically impacted the front-facing aspects of the site for Members, so it’s anyone’s guess as to what the website will look like post-maintenance.
So, while we wait for the website to return to normal, speculate in the comments and let us know what changes you would like to see to the DVC website. Remember, these updates are being made to enhance your DVC experience, and we look forward to seeing what improvements (hopefully) are in store!
