In September, the BoardWalk Villas began its much-anticipated refurbishment, starting with the Boardwalk View villas. Not much has changed on the exterior of the resort. There’s still plenty of scaffolding as the building’s exterior gets a fresh coat of paint, and windows of the villas being refurbished are still under wraps. However, we may have a glimpse at what is to come!
On the first floor, way past the laundry room, you may just stumble upon what looks to be test rooms!
There are a few things to note from this hallway. Upon first glance, you’ll notice the new carpeting. Gone are the beach umbrellas. Instead, you’ll find the same plank-like pattern as what is on the BoardWalk Inn side of the resort.
Another similarity to the Inn side are the white doors and mint green wall paint. In this image, you can see the stark contrast between the white doors on the left side of the hallway and the blue older doors on the right side.
Lastly, looking up, you can see a light fixture identical to the ones hanging in the Inn side hallways. It prominently features the silhouettes of Mickey and his pals.
Do these Inn-inspired hallway details mean that the refurbished villas will be similar to the newly refurbished hotel rooms? Time will tell. Stay tuned to DVC Fan for the latest on the BoardWalk Villas renovations!
