FIRST LOOK: Disney’s Vero Beach Resort Refurbishment!

We have our first look at a fully refurbished lock-off two-bedroom villa at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. Different from the full Hilton Head refurb, Vero Beach is undergoing on soft goods refurbishment. This means that it is not a major refurbishment and only items such as upholstery, couches, curtains, carpet, etc. will change.

A huge thank you to Marissa Vallotton who was recently at Vero Beach Resort and was able to share these photos with us!

Starting off the Vero Beach refurbishment inside the main bedroom, we have new carpeting, curtains, and a throw pillow. Not a ton of changes noticeable for this space since the hard goods, such as the bed, nightstands, and dressers will remain the same.

The living area is where we notice the most changes. Here, the pull out couch was replaced with a Murphy bed and the chair has new upholstery. We do love the addition of colorful throw pillows.

In the second bedroom, which is also the deluxe studio, there are a few important things to note. The pull out couch in this particular unit has been replaced with a new pull out couch and not a Murphy bed. While we can’t confirm 100%, we are pretty sure that this is because the placement of the couch in this studio villa is in front of a window and therefore does not allow for a Murphy bed to go in without the wall space to attach one.

We did stay in a deluxe studio a few months ago where the pull out couch was in front of a wall, so we imagine that Murphy beds will be added where the space allows. Inn rooms will should not be receiving Murphy beds since they have two queen beds. Also in this deluxe studio, we have new carpet, throw pillows, curtains, and the chairs have been reupholstered. The main hard goods furniture remains the same, possibly has been repainted or touched up.

The bathrooms in both the studio (left) and one bedroom (right) have little changes aside from a new shower curtain. This is typical for a soft goods refurbishment.

In the kitchen of the one bedroom portion, we noticed newly upholstered chairs. Soft good refurbishments don’t usually have major changes. We are happy to see the new Murphy beds and refreshed soft goods of this Vero Beach refurbishment. These in-between updates are important for the upkeep and longevity of the DVC villas.
