New Details Revealed for Reimagined Carousel of Progress at Disney World

There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow, and Disney is revealing more about what that tomorrow will look and sound like for the Carousel of Progress at Magic Kingdom.

The new story will begin in the summer of 1969 as the Carousel family gathers around for the moon landing. Act 2 will take us to Halloween in 1985 as Sarah takes center stage to share all the latest appliances and gadgets while Act 3 will transport us to New Year’s Eve in 1999 as the Carousel family looks forward to the new millennium and the “new thing called the Internet.” Finally, Act 4 will end with a glimpse of the possible future, including a robot assistant and space travel.

D23 also revealed that Disney Legend Jaime Lee Curtis and Emmy-winning actor Ryan Cranston will voice the roles of Mother and Father.

The new Carousel of Progress will debut late spring 2027.
