Racers, start your engines! D23 shared new details about the attractions coming to the Cars land in Magic Kingdom, Piston Peak National Park.
Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin-Along
It’s Fritter time! A new family-friendly attraction will be called Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin-Along and feature a large animatronic of the Crazy 8 demolition derby champion Miss Fritter from Cars 3. Guests will get to experience her “wildest demolition derby yet”!
Cars Ridge Run Rally
The previously announced rally race attraction, Cars Ridge Run Rally, seeks to find the “wildest racer in the wheelderness” for this off-road adventure. Racers will traverse the icy Piston Peak, rivers, trails, mud, and a geyser field before crossing the finish line where they’ll find none other than Lightning McQueen and Mater reporting for Racing Sports Network. Cars Ridge Run Rally will feature an all-new ride vehicle that will act as an off-road vehicle, so guests will feel every bump and drop throughout the race.
How Piston Peak Fits Into Magic Kingdom
With its mountains, waterfalls, and rivers, Piston Peak draws inspiration from the Rocky Mountain Area and the American Frontier. While Piston Peak will allow guests to explore more of the Disney and Pixar Cars universe with the visitor lodge, Ranger HQ, and trails, Imagineers took great care to ensure that the architecture of these structures will fit the surrounding landscapes. Trees, mountains, and waterways will not only provide a beautiful landscape for Piston Peak but also act as a barrier between the land and its neighbors, Liberty Square and Frontierland.
