One of the biggest questions surrounding Disney Lakeshore Lodge has finally been answered.
Today, Disney shared our first real look at the dining locations coming to the new Disney Vacation Club resort, giving fans a better sense of what they’ll experience when the resort opens in summer 2027. Along with several pieces of new concept art, we now know the names, themes, and intended experiences for each location, from a signature waterfront restaurant to a lounge overlooking Magic Kingdom fireworks.
For those of us following every update on Lakeshore Lodge, this was one of the most anticipated announcements yet.
Moonglade Becomes the Resort’s Signature Waterfront Restaurant
The biggest surprise from today’s reveal is undoubtedly Moonglade.
Located directly along the shores of Bay Lake, Moonglade will be the resort’s signature table-service restaurant, offering what Disney describes as an enchanting dining experience featuring seasonal cuisine and locally sourced ingredients.
Perhaps even more impressive than the menu is the setting itself.
Floor-to-ceiling windows will overlook Bay Lake and the towering cypress trees lining the shoreline, creating what already looks like one of the most beautiful dining rooms at Walt Disney World.
What’s especially interesting is how this differs from what many Disney Vacation Club fans expected.
For quite some time, the prevailing rumor suggested this waterfront location would become a Princess and the Frog character dining experience. Based on today’s announcement, that doesn’t appear to be the direction Disney is taking. Instead, Imagineers seem to be leaning into the resort’s broader themes of nature and quiet luxury.
Could those earlier plans have changed during development? It’s certainly possible. Disney hasn’t commented on previous rumors, so we’ll have to wait and see if any character dining finds its way into Lakeshore Lodge in another form.
For now, though, Moonglade looks poised to become one of the premier dining reservations around Bay Lake.
Bay Lake Provisions Delivers the Everyday Essentials
No Disney Vacation Club resort is complete without a dependable quick-service restaurant, and that role belongs to Bay Lake Provisions.
The all-day marketplace will offer specialty coffees, fresh meals, grab-and-go favorites, and an inviting open-kitchen atmosphere where guests can fuel up before heading to the parks or unwind after a long day.
Disney also included one fun detail that fits perfectly with the resort’s storytelling.
Hidden throughout the space will be woodland creatures inspired by classic Disney films, giving guests something new to discover each time they visit.
While quick-service restaurants rarely steal the spotlight, they’re often among the most frequently visited locations during a stay. Bay Lake Provisions looks like it’ll be an essential part of the Lakeshore Lodge experience.
Paint Out Point Bar & Grill Brings Guests Poolside
The third newly revealed venue is Paint Out Point Bar & Grill, located adjacent to Lakeshore Lagoon.
Serving as the resort’s pool bar, guests can expect shareable small plates, refreshing beverages, and a relaxed atmosphere overlooking The Wetlands recreation area and Bay Lake.
The name comes from the tradition of plein-air painting, with Imagineers creating original artwork inspired by the surrounding landscape that will be displayed throughout the venue.
It’s another example of Disney using art and nature together to reinforce the resort’s overall identity rather than treating each dining location as its own isolated concept.
Dandelion Terrace Could Become One of the Resort’s Most Popular Spots
Rounding out the lineup is Dandelion Terrace, an evening lounge that may end up becoming one of the resort’s hidden gems.
Positioned along Bay Lake, the lounge will offer sweeping views of Magic Kingdom’s nighttime fireworks while surrounding guests with a two-story gallery featuring archival Disney artwork, including pieces inspired by Fantasia.
The whimsical dandelion-inspired light fixtures shown in the concept art add another layer of personality, helping create what appears to be a comfortable space to wind down after a day in the parks.
One question remains unanswered, however.
Disney hasn’t shared exactly how guests will access this space during fireworks. Whether it operates as a standard lounge, requires reservations, offers a premium fireworks package, or remains first come, first served is something we’ll likely learn closer to opening.
Four Very Different Experiences That Tell One Story
One thing that stood out to me from today’s announcement is that none of these venues feel repetitive.
Instead, Disney appears to have intentionally designed four distinct experiences that all reinforce Lakeshore Lodge’s connection to Bay Lake, the surrounding wetlands, and the beauty of the natural environment.
That level of cohesion is something Disney’s best resorts have always done well, and based on today’s concept art, Lakeshore Lodge seems poised to continue that tradition.
Looking Ahead to D23
Today’s reveal answered several long-standing questions, but it also has me even more excited for what’s next.
With D23 just over a week away, I’m hopeful Disney will have a full resort model on display along with even more concept art that gives us a better sense of how all of these spaces connect together.
If today’s announcements are any indication, Disney Lakeshore Lodge is shaping up to be one of the most thoughtfully designed Disney Vacation Club resorts we’ve seen in years.
Amy and I have said it before, and today’s reveal certainly didn’t change our minds. We’re seriously considering adding on points here once sales begin. The combination of the resort’s natural setting, impressive architecture, and now this dining lineup continues to make Lakeshore Lodge one of the projects we’re watching most closely.
