DVC Fan Madness Bracket Challenge – Championship

DVCFan Madness

When the tournament started, there was one match-up in the back of people’s minds. One match-up that occurred before that begged for a rematch. Two teams so similar and yet so different but loved by thousands of loyal fans. Well… that rematch starts today!

Welcome to the Championship of our first ever DVC Fan Madness Bracket Challenge, crowning the Disney Vacation Club Resort we would most like to vacation at this Summer!

If you wonder how we got this far, here are some of the previous articles and matchups over the past few weeks:

Also, in case you missed our earlier rounds, here are the specifics:

The Question

In considering how to best set up our bracket challenge we felt that it was both unfair and may become too heated of a topic to debate our “favorite” DVC Resort. In the end, with the help of Corey Fiasconaro we settled for the following question:

“Which Disney Vacation Club Resort would you rather vacation this Summer?”

Over the course of four rounds, we have paired DVC Resorts head-to-head to determine what is the number one Disney Vacation Club destination this Summer!

The Rankings

In setting our initial rankings, we used the average percentages on The DIS Walt Disney World Resort Reviews and Ratings page. We felt this offered a fair ranking since it took into consideration the reviews of hundreds of fans and DVC owners.

Final Four – The Results

As the weeks have gone by and the field has narrowed, each week has become harder to predict with the margins of victory getting closer and closer. The Final Four did not disappoint with this and featured some of the closest results of the tournament.

Here are the results from the Final Four:

Disney’s Beach Club Villas vs. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas

Pitting these two perennial DVC favorites against each other was sure to produce some excitement on the court. On one side you had a team with three amazing players in Boma, Sanaa, and Jiko. On the other, amazing depth and talent that was showcased around the world.

This game came down to the very end with Beach Club pulling out the victory 53.1% to 46.9%.

Disney’s BoardWalk Villas vs. Bay Lake Tower

Bay Lake Tower throughout the tournament has exhibited breathtaking highlights, almost as if it were already perched at the Top of the World waiting to prove itself. That is, of course, until this week when BoardWalk showed up and brought its carnival of tricks to the court.

In the end, BoardWalk continued the dominance it has displayed, winning 56.2% to 43.8%.

The Championship

In August of last year, Amy and I had a friendly debate here on DVC Fan regarding Beach Club and BoardWalk. To this day it is still one of the more popular articles on the blog, with fans of both coming out in the thousands to support Team Beach Club and Team BoardWalk. That resulted in a narrow 52% to 48% BoardWalk victory, making this rematch even more exciting!

Please remember when voting that we are asking you to choose which Disney Vacation Club Resort you would rather vacation this Summer. There are four match-ups this week, so be sure to vote in each one!

Voting for the Championship will end at 11:59 pm, EST on Saturday, April 11th.

Stay tuned to the DVC Fan Facebook Group where we will announce the winner over the weekend!

Let us know in the comments what you think of this rematch and who you think will prevail! Are you Team Beach Club or Team BoardWalk?!

This will be a very tight head to head, but the walk will take it i think. this is becasue .. it is the best walking distance from two parks and that is early and late activities for all.

either way this goes will be good seeing both are excellent

Boardwalk should win. Nicer ambiance. More food options. Beach Club pool is just a pool.

The pool at Beach Club is unlike any other pool on property. Plus to grab a bite you don’t have to go outside to the Boardwalk. It will be close but I think Beach will pull it off. My family did this bracket of DVC properties a few weeks ago and we had the exact same final four. All four are fantastic destinations… I think we need Disney to open soon!!
